Dasari Narayana Rao, a well-known Telugu film director, actor, writer and former Union minister of state for coal passed away on Tuesday after prolonged illness. 

Dasari Narayana Rao, a well-known Telugu film director, actor, writer and former Union minister of state for coal passed away on Tuesday after prolonged illness.

Speaking about the director, Telangana Minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav said that Dasari always fought for poor in Telugu film industry and informed that Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao has directed him to hold the last rites of Dasari Narayana Rao with full state honours.

Dasari Narayana died at KIMS Hospital in Hyderabad while undergoing treatment. He was admitted into the hospital after he complained of difficulty in breathing but was later discharged from the hospital. Ever since, his health continued to deteriorate.
