CID begins probe into Miyapur land scam
The Crime Investigation Department (CID) on Wednesday took over the probe into Miyapur land scam after Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao directed the DGP to hand over the case to the CID.
Hyderabad: The Crime Investigation Department (CID) on Wednesday took over the probe into Miyapur land scam after Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao directed the DGP to hand over the case to the CID.
“We have received orders from the government to this effect and we have started the process of investigation in coordination with the Cyberabad police,” Additional Director General of Police (CID) Govind Singh said. The CID will seek custody of the three accused arrested by the Cyberabad police for detailed questioning since new facts are coming to light by the day, he said.
It may be recalled here that the Cyberabad police have arrested Kukatpally Sub-Registrar Rachakonda Srinivasa Rao, Trinity Infra Ventures Limited directors P S Parthasarathy and PVS Sharma and remanded them in judicial custody.
The CID has deputed three officers – one superintendent and two deputy superintendents of police – to interact with the Cyberabad police and collect all the documents related to the case from various government departments, including the police department.
