Hyderabad: Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, on Saturday, visited Ravindra Bharathi. He went round the premises, examined the block where Cultural Affairs Department is functioning.

The Chief Minister also discussed with the officials about the action to be taken to use Ravindra Bharathi, which was in the heart of the city, for the better use. He said there was a need to expand the parking lots and spread the green lawns.

He also wanted the Telangana Sahitya Academy operate from Ravindra Bharathi and suggested better coordination between the Academy and Cultural Affairs Department.

The Chief Minister asked the officials to make proper arrangements and prepare an action plan for the Telangana World Telugu Conference to be held in October this year. He wanted suggestions to be given to the Government on the steps to be initiated to protect Telugu language and preserve its eminence.

The Chief Minister released a compilation of poems by Telangana poets with village as background theme, “Talliveru”. Home Minister Nayini Narasimha Reddy, Govt Advisor K V Ramanachary, Chief Secretary S P Singh, Sahitya Academy Chairman Nandini Siddha Reddy, Mamidi Harikrishna, Burra Venkatesham, Christina Z Chongthu and Desapathi Srinivas were present.
