Hyderabad: Minister for Animal Husbandry Talasani Srinivas Yadav directed officials to make all the necessary arrangements for Bonalu celebrations at Golconda Sri Jagadamba Mahankali temple.
At a review meeting with senior officials of the endowment department, Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC), Police, Transco, Revenue and Water Works, the Minister said the Bonalu festival will begin with the procession of Rottela Jathara from Langerhouz centre to Golconda on June 25.
The Minister said a representative of the State government would offer Pattu Vastralu (Silk clothes) to the deity on the same day. As the number of people participating in the Bonalu is increasing every year, he called upon the officials to make arrangements to ensure that the devotees do not face any problems.
The Minister directed the officials to give priority to sanitation, barricading the area for smooth movement of people, he also asked the officials to station two ambulances and organise for two medical camps to meet any emergency.
