Equipment distribution for handicapped today
The Hyderabad District Collector, in association with Artificial Limbs Manufacturing Corporation of India (ALIMCO), has taken initiation to provide necessary instruments and devices for the differently-abled people by setting up a camp at the Govt High School, Ameerpet, Dharam Karam Road on June 7.Â
​Hyderabad: The Hyderabad District Collector, in association with Artificial Limbs Manufacturing Corporation of India (ALIMCO), has taken initiation to provide necessary instruments and devices for the differently-abled people by setting up a camp at the Govt High School, Ameerpet, Dharam Karam Road on June 7.
Differently-abled people from mandals including Ameerpet, Khairatabad, Secunderabad, Trimulgherry and Marredpally will attend the camp which will begin at 9 am.
Instruments to be provided will include tricycles, wheelchairs, crutches, callipers and other devices for the physically challenged people. Cerebral Palsy (CP) chairs and MSIED kits will be provided to mentally disabled people.
Ear devices for deaf people, hand sticks, Braille case and slates for blind people as well as Activities of Daily Life (ADL) kits for people suffering from leprosy are also among the list. All the above mentioned devices and instruments will be provided free of cost.
People who attend the camp must carry documents like Software for Assessment of Disabled for Access Rehabilitation and Empowerment (SADAREM) Certificate (40% and above), Aadhaar Card, address proof (ration card or voter Id) along with two photos showing disability.
