Man presumes wife to be dead, commits suicide

In a tragic turn of events, an auto driver pesuming his wife to be dead, committed suicide on Tuesday.

The incident took place in Malkajigiri and the deceased, identified as Bommagani Mahesh, was a resident of Prashanth Nagar.

Mahesh got married to Jyotsana four years ago and the couple have three-and-half-year-old daughter.

The couple had an argument on Sunday, following which Jyotsana tried to end her life by consuming sleeping pills. The husband rushed her to a hospital in ECIL immediately where she recovered. However, Mahesh presumed his wife to be dead and allegedly hanged self from a ceiling fan at his house.

Police have registered a case following a complaint from Mahesh's sister.
