TDP MLC Deepak Reddy who was arrested in Hyderabad on Tuesday night in land mafia case has been remanded to 14 days judicial custody and is shifted to Chanchalguda Jail.

Deepak Reddy, the nephew of JC Diwakar Reddy was arrested over the charges of producing fake property documents on the name of benamis for the land worth Rs 163 crores in Asif Nagar, Hyderabad.

The TDP MLC has shown Rs 7,000 crores property in the nomination affidavit. Deepak Reddy is said to have illegally registered land in the names of dead people and later placed petitions in court, claiming that the lands were his. Police arrested Deepak Reddy with evidence along with his lawyer Sailendra Saxena, and realtor Srinivas.

CCS DCP Avinash Mahanti is going to present all the three before court, however, Deepak Reddy denied the claims and said that he would bring the facts out while claiming that his signatures were forged.
