GHMC sanitation workers to get rain coats

In view of the monsoon, the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) on Friday decided to provide rain coats to the sanitation and entomology workers.
Hyderabad: In view of the monsoon, the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) on Friday decided to provide rain coats to the sanitation and entomology workers.
GHMC Commissioner B Janardhan Reddy said the civic body will provide rain coats to 22,000 employees, of which 18,382 are sanitation workers, 2, 514 entomology and 1,104 drivers.
He said each coat will cost Rs 500. Besides this, he claimed the civic body had been already providing radium jackets, soaps, coconut oil and other necessary materials.
