Rain lashes Hyderabad again
Heavy rain once again lashed several parts of the city on Friday afternoon. While it was a respite for citizens from the heat, it also rekindled fears of another possible inundation in the low-lying areas.
Hyderabad: Heavy rain once again lashed several parts of the city on Friday afternoon. While it was a respite for citizens from the heat, it also rekindled fears of another possible inundation in the low-lying areas.
The city was just out of a harrowing experience when 8cm rainfall flooded several places in three hours and caused major traffic snarls and power outings.
Rain was reported from Nampally, Abids, Hyderguda, Khairatabad, Lakdikapul, Tank bund and Necklace Road.
Moderate rain was reported from Secunderabad, Bowenpally, Begumpet, Chilkalguda and Trimulgherry. At many places, traffic snarls slowed down the vehicular movement.
Due to the strong westerly to north-westerly moist winds from Arabian Sea during the week, moderate to heavy rain/thundershowers occurred at many places over the State on June 4, 7 and 8.
