Amaravati: Telangana state finance minister Eatala Rajender said that both Telugu states were waging a common fight to safeguard the interests of common man in the GST regime.

Rajender visited Secretariat to meet Ministers of AP in Velagapudi on Friday, to extend invitation for his son’s marriage.

Later, interacting with mediapersons, he said comparing to other states both Telangana and AP are cooperating with each other in settling the disputes due to state bifurcation.

Recalling that the combined AP state budget was Rs 1.60 crore but now the budget of both the states has crossed Rs 3 crore, he said that it reflects the development taking place after bifurcation.

Expressing satisfaction that both the Telugu states were progressing at a brisk pace, Rajender hoped the two states would be in top position in the country in the coming years.

The Telangana minister, who visited the Secretariat building for the first time hoped that the Capital Amaravati would become a beautiful city within two to three years.

Earlier, Eatala met Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, who is leaving to Anantapur to participate in Eruvaka programme, at Gannavaram airport on Friday morning and extended invitation to attend his son’s marriage.

Later, Eetala visited Secretariat and met civil supplies minister Prathipati Pulla Rao and municipal administration minister P Narayana in their chambers and invited them as well.
