Telangana State teams score handball double

The 16th Mini-boys and girls Handball Championship-2017 ended on a golden double for Telangana State at Lal Bahadur Stadium here on Friday. Both girls and boys put paid to the aspirations of Haryana in the finals. Later, Prof K Ranga Rao, President of Olympic Association of Telangana gave away the prizes.
Hyderabad: The 16th Mini-boys and girls Handball Championship-2017 ended on a golden double for Telangana State at Lal Bahadur Stadium here on Friday. Both girls and boys put paid to the aspirations of Haryana in the finals. Later, Prof K Ranga Rao, President of Olympic Association of Telangana gave away the prizes.
Officials from Handball Federation of India (HFI) Nagesh and Veena Naidu, and members of the State and district units Pavan Kumar, Ramesh, Rajesh Ponna, Franklin, along with coach Dr Ravi were present on the occasion. Results: Girls final: Telangana State (TS) bt Haryana 21-17; Third place play-off: Bihar bt Odisha 31-20; Boys final: TS bt Haryana 31-23l Third place play-off: Delhi bt Jharkhand 31-12.
