The LAWCET and PGLCET -2017 results were released here on Saturday. Kakatiya University vice-chancellor Prof R Sayanna released the results at University\'s Law College in Hanamkonda. Speaking after releasing the results he said that 13, 955 (90.57 per cent) candidates have been qualified for LLB 3-year degree course.

Hanamkonda: The LAWCET and PGLCET -2017 results were released here on Saturday. Kakatiya University vice-chancellor Prof R Sayanna released the results at University's Law College in Hanamkonda. Speaking after releasing the results he said that 13, 955 (90.57 per cent) candidates have been qualified for LLB 3-year degree course.

Similarly, a total of 2,893 (71.77 per cent) candidates got qualified for LLB 5-year degree course and 1,698 candidates (97.03 per cent) secured eligibility to get admissions into LLM course (PGLCET). A total of 21, 189 candidates appeared for the test, of the total 24,766 candidates who registered for the exams.

A student, Sahaja Joginapalli of Ramagudam in Karimnagar district, secured the first rank by scoring 106 marks in LLB 3-year degree course category while Jonathan Ivan Rajan of Hyderabad secured first rank in LLB 5 year course by scoring 104 marks and J Laskhmi Charan of Ranga Reddy district secured first rank in the PGLCET by scoring 96 marks.

Prof Sayanna said that about 2,590 seats are available at 21 colleges for LLB (3-year course) and 1,176 seats available at 14 colleges for LLB (5-year course) and 524 LLM seats are obtainable at 13 colleges under convener quota in the State.
He expressed pleasure over KU successfully conducting the LAWCET for three consecutive years.

The LAWCET convener and the university registrar Prof M V Ranga Rao said that there had been an increase of two per cent in the overall qualification of the candidates. This year 87 per cent students got qualified while in the last year it was 85 per cent. He said the counselling for the admissions would likely be conducted in July or August.

The TSCHE would announce the dates after getting approval from the Bar Council of India (BCI). To check the results, candidate can visit http://lawcet.tsche.ac.in.The downloading of the rank cards would commence from June 13, he added. University Law College principal Y Padmaja, Adarsha Law College principal N Ravi and Prof. B Venkatram Reddy were
present.
