TRS leaders, ministers mired in scam
The BJP on Saturday alleged that the government now stood exposed and it was clear that the party leaders and Ministers were “fully complicit” in the massive land scam.In a statement, the party official spokesperson Krishna Saagar Rao said TRS Secretary General K Keshav Rao and his family had bought 38 acres of forest and government land from Gold Stone Group directors for a pittance.
BJP threatens to apprise PM of Miyapur land scam
Hyderabad: The BJP on Saturday alleged that the government now stood exposed and it was clear that the party leaders and Ministers were “fully complicit” in the massive land scam.In a statement, the party official spokesperson Krishna Saagar Rao said TRS Secretary General K Keshav Rao and his family had bought 38 acres of forest and government land from Gold Stone Group directors for a pittance.
He said the BJP strongly believed that the process certainly had serious involvement of Deputy Chief Minister and Minister for Revenue Mohammad Mahmood Ali. The Deputy Chief Minister was already facing allegations of a high value benami land transfer. He said the BJP during the last one week had demanded an explanation from the Chief Minister on the largest land scam in the nation whose value is over Rs 1 lakh crore.
However, the man who is always ready to grab the mike and make fun of even the fairest of his political opponents has been stone cold and completely numb on this isuse, he said.
Rao said KCR seemed to have no courage to explain to the people of Telangana on this massive corruption scandal. Thousands of acres of land in Miyapur, Puppalaguda, Ibrahimpatam, Shamshabad Dandu Mylaram, Ghansi Miyaguda had been usurped by the land sharks like Gold Stone Prasad with open support of the top government heads.
The TRS leaders and Ministers had been using Prasad as a conduit and occupying lands, and buying the same lands for pittance from his company. Using the government’s machinery in the Revenue Department, these lands were being registered on their families, friends and benamis.
The size of the scam was much bigger than anyone can imagine, as this modus operandi was being used not just around Hyderabad, but around all the major districts of Telangana. The target everywhere were the government lands and the instruments were corrupt revenue officials and the system of ‘anywhere registrations. If the TDP MLC had been arrested for similar land dealings, which BJP welcomed.
“Will TRS Secretary General Keshav Rao and his family not be arrested and investigated” he asked. BJP demanded the ouster of Revenue, Stamps and Registration Minister. BJP will bring this massive corruption of TRS government to the notice of the Prime Minister and other enforcement, investigation agencies, he said.
