A Hyderabad woman has allegedly been stuck in the clutches of a doctor couple in Saudi Arabia.

The woman, Zabeena Begum went to Saudi Arabia on December 16, 2015. After a few days, she reportedly told her brother that her employers were torturing and continuously beating her up.

Begum's brother, Md. Hameed Khan shared that she wants to come back to India and that she is being over worked without being paid enough.

He appealed to the Government of India to intervene in the matter to rescue his sister and bring her back home. Mr Khan has also approached the External Affairs Ministry on the issue.

Social activist Fazil Khan has tweeted the issue to Minister of External Affairs Sushma Swaraj, who has informed the same to the Ambassador of India to Saudi.

However, the Embassy held talks with Zabeena Begum's employers, who informed that they would send her back after the holy month of Ramadan.

Zabeena sent a voice message to her brother that reportedly said that her employers have no plans to send her back, at least for the next six months, allegedly due to the Indian embassy's intervention.
