Hyderabad: The Telangana Joint Action Committee (T JAC) on Sunday demanded that the government order a judicial inquiry with a sitting judge into the Miyapur land scam which surfaced recently.

Addressing the media after the extended steering committee meeting on Sunday, T JAC Chairman M Kodandaram alleged that the State government had leaked the information on alleged deals by TRS Secretary General K Kesava Rao.

He said the government was taking action against lower-level officials, while the senior officers and many other persons, who were involved in the Rs 10,000 crore scam, remaining untouched. He said the Advocates JAC would soon organise a round-table meeting on the Miyapur land scam.

The JAC, he said, would take up ‘Amarula Spoorthi Yatra’ in the State. The first phase of the yatra would start on June 21 from Sangareddy and end at Siddipet on June 24. The JAC leaders condemned the government’s attitude towards the unemployed youth and farmers.

They also demanded that the government clear the doubts of the candidates who wrote the Group-II examination. They urged the government to declare results of the sub-inspector examinations. The JAC wanted the government to take up DSC examination as per the old districts since there would be legal problems if the examinations were taken up based on the new districts keeping aside the Presidential orders.

The JAC demanded that the government immediately give appointment orders to the constables who passed the examination. The JAC leaders felt that stoppage of power supply from Andhra Pradesh would only benefit Telangana State, but demanded that the government cancel the power purchase agreement with the neighbouring State.

Alleging that the government’s approach in the gangster Nayeem’s case was suspicious, the JAC leaders demanded that the government to make Nayeem’s diary public. It demanded that the government make details public as expenditure on the Mission Bhagiratha, list of villages, which would be benefitted under the scheme, and the extent of work executed so far.
