Hyderabad: Peddapally MP Balka Suman said the opening of Gurukul Schools in the State was a revolutionary step by the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) government.

Speaking to the media here on Tuesday, Suman said the previous governments had failed to concentrate on education system, but Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao took a decision to strengthen the education system in the State. The State government had launched Gurukul Schools aiming the uplift of the SC, ST and BC sections in the State.

The State government was implementing Dr B R Ambedkar’s ideals, he said. Reminding that the TRS government had increased Gurukul Schools from 270 to 487 after assuming power, Suman said the Chief Minister sanctioned 31 Women Residential Degree Colleges in the State.

The Opposition parties were indulging in unwanted criticism. “One knows the State government’s welfare programmes if goes to people,” he said and asked TJAC chairman Prof Kodandaram whether he did not see praises on the government heaped by the people. He said one who wanted golden Telangana could not speak like Prof Kodandaram.

Suman said the agenda of Prof Kodandaram was already known to everyone in the State. Kodandaram was resorting to mudslinging at the State government continuously keeping something in his mind, he fumed. Suman said Chandrashekar Rao strongly believes that Bangaru Telangana was possible only when education reached poor and Dalits.
