Hyderabad: The Telangana BJP unit has sent a brief note with details of the Miyapur land scam to the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) and the Union Ministry of Home Affairs and demanded an inquiry by the CBI since the lands were categorised as refugee properties.

Addressing a press conference here on Tuesday, BJP spokesman Krishna Sagar Rao said that this land scam would be a big nightmare for Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao.

He said that the BJP had also sent a brief note of the case to the party’s national president Amit Shah. He said, “We waited for some days to see whether the Chief Minister would respond or not.

As the Chief Minister has failed to respond, we have forwarded a copy of the case details to the PMO and the Union Home Ministry.” Rao said that the BJP would organise demonstrations in protest against the government on the land scam after the end of the party’s Karya Vistar Yojana’ programme which was now going on in the districts.

He said that the BJP government at the Centre was not involved in any major scandal during the last three years. However, there were scams in the ruling TRS government at the State level, he lamented.

The BJP leader also demanded a clarification from the TSPSC chairman on the allegations of corruption and High Court’s stay on the Group-II results.

He demanded the government to take up inquiry under a Special Investigation Team (SIT) on the appointments made in the TSPSC. He said that because of the unprofessional attitude of the TSPSC officials, five lakh unemployed youth were facing difficulties.
