Hyderabad: Governor ESL Narsimhan inaugurated the new building of the Government High School at Raj Bhavan on Wednesday. The school building which was established in 1953 was in a dilapidated condition. The Governor took the initiative and a new swanky building was constructed at a cost of Rs 4.50 crore.Deputy Chief Ministers Kadiam Srihari, Mohmood Ali, MLA Chinatala Rama Chandra Reddy and others were present at this event.

This English medium school has Classes from one to X. The new building has 24 CCTV cameras, 20 book shelfs, an R O plant, lab equipment, computer lab with 25 systems, digital library with 15 computers, LCD projectors, 21 Classrooms and a dining hall.

The Governor said that the school should become a role model to other government schools. He emphasised on the need to impart quality training to teachers. Kadiyam Srihari said, “This school building is on par with any private school. So far, 748 admissions for this academic year have taken place.’’ He said that Cyient Pvt.Ltd has given 50 systems within three months and this will help the students to become digitally literates. Teachers should keep upgrading their teaching skills, he added.”
