Not in race for Vice-President post: Narasimhan
Governor ESL Narasimhan has denied reports that he would be the contender for the post of Vice-President for which the elections are to be held in July this year.
​Hyderabad: Governor ESL Narasimhan has denied reports that he would be the contender for the post of Vice-President for which the elections are to be held in July this year.
The Governor made this comment during an informal chat with media at the Iftar party hosted by him at Raj Bhavan on Wednesday.
Responding to a question that speculations are making rounds in the political circles that Narasimhan would be the successor to Hamid Ansari as Vice-President, the Governor said that he had no knowledge about the candidate who would be fielded in the election. “God will only decide the fate,” he remarked.
Referring to the opposition parties’ allegations that he was not giving appointment to them to discuss on the land scams that had come to light recently in Hyderabad, Narasimhan said that he is taking into consideration the opposition parties’ concerns.
