Ticketless travel: SCR nets 8.16 lakh in a single day

Secunderabad Division of South Central Railway (SCR) undertook an intensive ticket checking on various MMTS, Express and Passenger trains throughout the division on June 12 to curb ticketless, irregular travel and unbooked luggage to ensure comfortable and safe journey of bona fide rail passengers.
​Hyderabad: Secunderabad Division of South Central Railway (SCR) undertook an intensive ticket checking on various MMTS, Express and Passenger trains throughout the division on June 12 to curb ticketless, irregular travel and unbooked luggage to ensure comfortable and safe journey of bona fide rail passengers.
The check was conducted under the overall supervision of Divisional Commercial Manager, Secunderabad Division. A total of 1,675 persons were apprehended out of which 563 persons travelling without ticket, 886 persons travelling irregularly and 226 cases of unbooked luggage were detected. An amount of Rs 8,12,550 was realised towards penalty during the check.
