GHMC to display lists of emergency teams
The GHMC Commissioner Dr B Janardhan Reddy directed the Zonal Commissioners and Engineering officials to display list of monsoon Emergency teams with relevant information of the names, mobile numbers at their respective offices and also to keep the information on the website for awareness of the citizens during emergency situations. ​Hyderabad: The GHMC Commissioner Dr B Janardhan Reddy directed the Zonal Commissioners and Engineering officials to display list of monsoon Emergency teams with relevant information of the names, mobile numbers at their respective offices and also to keep the information on the website for awareness of the citizens during emergency situations.
At GHMC head office on Thursday, the Commissioner held a review meeting with the senior officials of Engineering and Town Planning with regard to Property Tax, Trade licence, Swach Sarvekshan, Haritha Haram, Sports, De-silting of nalas, critical points of nala widening, water stagnation points, change over to LED lights, pending court cases and other issues pertaining to developmental activities.
The Commissioner said to the officials that nala de-silting works should be taken up on top priority and they should concentrate on water stagnation points, low lying areas and make use of monsoon emergency teams.
When there is no emergency works or heavy rains, their services may be utilised for lifting of debris and other works. The Commissioner also told the officials to take up digging works etc, to display sign boards at the work sites to avoid accidents.
