Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao on Tuesday launched the sheep distribution scheme at Kondapaka in Siddipet.

KCR has taken up this project for the welfare of the two lakh Yadava community members in Telangana. To look into the requirements of the community, the state government set up a cabinet sub committee headed by Minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav and came up with a proposal to distribute sheep among the community members to help in their livelihood.

Addressing at the sheep distribution ceremony, the Chief Minister slammed the Opposition parties for filing cases against construction of irrigation projects in the state and urged the public to question the Opposition on this regard.

KCR further said that the Opposition are fearing the people would definitely support TRS, hence are bringing forth such cases. He asserted that the construction of projects will not be stopped in any way.

Irrigation Minister Harish Rao too addressed the event where he spoke regarding the development programmes taken up in the district since TRS came to power and how successful they have become.

Pointing out that there was no power cuts or water shortage even in summer, Harish Rao thanked the Telangana government for Mission Bhagiratha and Mission Kakatiya as continous water and power supply are key requirements of farmers which has now been ensured.
