Instant teams to take up minor road repairs

​Hyderabad: The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) has come up with instant repair teams (IRTs) to take up small repairs on the roads such as filling potholes, replacing manhole covers and other related works.

The instant repair team consists of two labours along with material - cement and sand etc - for filling of potholes on cement roads, repairing footpaths, central median and replacing manhole covers.

The teams would also clear fallen trees, rectify inundation in low lying areas and major water stagnation on the roads during the monsoon season.

Team is also supposed to procure mechanical pothole filling machine for filling of potholes by machine on priority basis for the convenience of commuters during the monsoon.
