​Hyderabad: A delegation of Telangana CPI, led by its State secretary Chada Venkata Reddy, met Governor E S L Narasimhan on Thursday and submitted a representation pressing for a CBI probe in the land scams surfacing in the State.

The CPI leader, in the memorandum, said that officials, private persons and even people’s representatives were involved in grabbing the government land, Bhoodan, Jagir, refugees and endowment lands in Ranga Reddy, Hyderabad and Medchal Districts.

The CPI said about 693 acres of government land in Miyapur under survey Nos 100, 101 and 28 in Ranga Reddy districts were encroached and illegally registered. Similarly, another 50 acres of land in survey number 36 in Dandumylaram and Hafizpet villages under Ibrahimpatnam mandal were got registered by some persons in the government with hand in glove with the revenue officials, they pointed out.

They said about 1000 acres of land in Puppalaguda village in Gandipeta mandal belonging to Nawaj Fhakeer Jung was taken over by the Government. However, lands sharks, revenue officials and some people’s representatives had encroached the lands by creating fake and forged documents. The land grabbers also constructed multi-storeyed buildings in the lands.

Similarly, another 100 acres of Bhoodan lands in survey numbers 215 to 224 in Kuntluru village of Abdullapur mandal were encroached. The CPI leaders urged the Governor to see that the lands were taken back and used for construction of double bed room houses for the poor.

They pointed out that about 315 acres of government lands in survey numbers 3 and 4 in Ghamisiya Guda in Shamshabad mandal, had been taken away from the farmers by Goldstone Prasad and his followers. The CPI leaders demanded return of the lands to the farmers and the poor for whom the government had distributed the assigned lands.

Similarly, in Girmapur village, people’s representatives are trying to encroach about 6 acres of land located in survey number 221 by getting them illegally registered. Also, in Alwal mandal’s Kaukuru village, government lands in survey number 27 have been encroached, the memorandum said.

In Hyderabad, the CPI leaders said that government lands under Bhoja Gutta reservoir limits belonging to refugees in Banjara Hills and Endowment lands in survey number 348/1 in Jagatgirigutta of Qutbullapur mandal also should be protected, they said.
