In a statement issued here on Sunday, the Governor said, “The teachings of Holy Quran have shaped the lives of the society over the ages since the advent of the Prophet.
The holy Ramadan is a reminder to us of the purpose of life as ordained by God and that only through rigorous self-discipline it is possible to realize the life eternal.”
“On the holy day, let us redeem our pledge to respect the dignity of human being, the sanctity of life and the solemnity of all faiths,” Narasimhan said.
The Chief Minister hoped that the sacred Ramadan month would usher in happiness among people. He reminded that the State government had organised Dawat-e-Iftar and distributed cloths to the poor Muslims on the occasion of Ramadan.
The Chief Minister appealed to the people to celebrate holy Ramadan amidst communal harmony and religious tolerance and mirror the great Ganga-Jamuna Tehzeeb of Telangana State.
