Unable to deal with son-in-law's harassment, woman jumps off building
A 54-year-old woman allegedly committed suicide on Monday by jumping off her building at Medipally.
A 54-year-old woman allegedly committed suicide on Monday by jumping off her building at Medipally.
The woman, identified as Padma was residing at Prashanth Nagar along with her husband K Pradeep. They have a daughter Swetha who was married to Ch Hari and the couple have two kids. But with Hari being unemployed, there were constant arguments which resulted in Swetha returning to her parents' place along with her kids.
Upset with Swetha staying at her parents' house, Hari harassed her continuously on phone abusing her and his mother-in-law Padma for not sending his wife back home.
Hari called Padma on Monday and threatened her with dire consequences if they did not send Swetha back to him. Unable to deal with the harassment and depressedd with her daughter's life, Padma jumped from the fourth floor of the building.
Her husband filed a complaint against Hari for harassment with the police who have taken him into custody.
