Spurious Seeds racket busted in Mahbubnagar; Sub-Inspector suspended

A Sub-inspector from Mahbubnagar district was suspended on Wednesday over negligence in duty. The SI, Ashok of Bhuthpur police station failed to discharge his duties against a gang that was selling spurious seeds to gullible farmers in the disguised packing with names - Srusti Seeds and Gopi Krishna seeds.

The SI, Ashok of Bhuthpur police station failed to discharge his duties against a gang that was selling spurious seeds to gullible farmers in the disguised packing with names - Srusti Seeds and Gopi Krishna seeds.
The police had formed teams and conducted raids in the distict arresting four people and seizing huge stocks of spurious seeds.
Upon further investigation, it was found that Sub-inspector Ashok didn't take any action against the accused even after several complaints. The gang have already duped hundreds of farmers in Telangana, Karnataka and Maharashtra. A case has been registered against the accused.
