Akbaruddin Owaisi under BJP fire
Condemning the comments made by the MIM floor leader in Assembly Akbaruddin Owaisi that the Muslims should vote only for Muslim candidates in the elections, Telangana State BJP unit on Monday demanded that the State government arrest the Majlis leader and book a suo moto case against him.

Addressing a press conference here, official spokesperson Krishna Saagar Rao condemned the statements made by the MIM leader. He said that Akbaruddin Owaisi’s statements were unwanted and would lead to dividing the society and alsolead to violence.
He said the MIM MLA was afraid of losing the Hyderabad Lok Sabha seat in the next elections. He said the MIM was not the representative of entire Muslim community.
The BJP leader also lashed at the TRS government by stating that it was an opportunist government. He said that the TRS was yet to file a charge sheet against the MIM MLA on his hate speech.
Rao said the BJP would meet Election Commission of India and lodge complaint against the speeches of MIM leader. He said the MIM president should explain what kind of secularism his party followed.
