Unable to deal with cousin's suicide, girl sets herself ablaze
A 19-year-old girl committed suicide by setting herself on fire in Bodhan, Nizamabad district. The tragic incident occurred on Tuesday after she came to know that her cousin had committed suicide.
A 19-year-old girl committed suicide by setting herself on fire in Bodhan, Nizamabad district. The tragic incident occurred on Tuesday after she came to know that her cousin had committed suicide.
According to the police, the victim identified as Nandini was residing with her parents Boda Srinivas and Vani in Janepally village. Having completed her Intermediate studies, Nandini was about to join a UG course.
Nandini was in love with her cousin, Racha Sai Kumar, who hails from Mallaram village in Nandipeta. However, Sai Kumar was frustrated with his life and committed suicide by hanging himself to a ceiling fan on Monday.
Depressed over his suicide, Nandini set herself on fire when her parents went to attend Sai Kumar's funeral. Neighbours who witnessed the flames coming out of the house rushed to rescue her. However, the girl succumbed to the burn injuries. The police have registered a case and sent the body for post-mortem.
