Hyderabad: Communist Party of India (Marxist), city unit, on Wednesday, demanded that the State government explain reasons for the delay in launching Hyderabad metro rail project.
The CPI (M) party felt that the government has been hoodwinking citizens by not giving the details and money spent on the project so far. CPI (M) city secretary M Srinivas urged the government to explain the reason for extending the time limit for metro rail project for another 17 months.
He said the delay in executing the project meant that the commuters continued suffer traffic snarls for two more years. He felt that the government was not revealing the truth.
