The Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA), which had decided to take up Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Exhibitions (MICE) project at Izzatnagar at National Academy of Construction (NAC) campus in the year 2008, is now put on hold as the project is not viable. 

Hyderabad: The Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA), which had decided to take up Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Exhibitions (MICE) project at Izzatnagar at National Academy of Construction (NAC) campus in the year 2008, is now put on hold as the project is not viable.

The proposed MICE project will have convention facilities, meeting rooms, space for exhibitions along with multi-level car parking to accommodate at least 400 cars, entertainment and business centre. The MICE project was to come up in 34 acres with a cost of Rs 291 crore.

The MICE was proposed on international standards on Public Private Partnership (PPP) mode. A n HMDA official has said that the MICE is not a viable project as some of the facilities in this project were already with HICC and HITEX.
