Hyderabad: Osmania Hospital has proved that it can provide healthcare in critical case on a par with corporate hospitals.
In a recent incident, the team of Doctors led by Dr N Naga Prasad, Head of the Burns and Reconstructive Surgery Department, performed graft skin procedure on two persons Gandaiah, a 50 year-old farmworker and his 20 year-old son Venkatesh, suffered severe burns in a gas cylinder burst at his residence in Almasguda under Meerpet mandal in Ranga Reddy district.
Venkatesh had sustained 30 per cent burns on his face, both hands and legs and Gandaiah also sustained 16 per cent injuries on both the legs.
He said the patients were given antibiotics and injections, which cost between Rs 3,000 and 5,000 for about two weeks. Two weeks later they performed the skin grafting and now the patients had been discharged.
