Hyderabad: The two-day training programme of Vaktha, jointly organised by HMTV and Kaushalya School of Life Skills, concluded here on Sunday.

The training has brought out the oratory skills of participants. Before the training, the speakers were hesitant to give speeches at meetings. After the training, the participants felt that the programme has brought ‘light into their lives’.

After attending the training, the level of confidence has been increased among participants and they vowed to bring a positive change in the society. As part of training, Director (Training), Kapil Group and the lead faculty of the programme, D Bal Reddy explained the important tips and techniques related to public speaking. While providing insights into the dos and don’ts of public speaking, he explained the participants that they ought to practise regularly to become good speakers.

The participants, explained that they could clearly recognise their deficiencies and would work to overcome them. During the sessions, Bal Reddy advised the future leaders to remain relaxed while holding the mike and to remain focused on the subject. Avoiding all kinds of distraction on the stage is the key point for public speaking, he said.

S Anand Parjanya, faculty on Body Language, trained the participants on maintaining their posture while delivering speech and communicating at a public place. He explained as to how the Orator, should communicate the subject accompanied with the actions of hands.

K Srikanth, another faculty, explained important techniques of Voice Modulation, since a good speaker maintains a high tone while delivering the speech. He made students practise some of the important tips and showed how Voice Modulation can make a person an effective public speaker.

While providing their feedback, V Goutham Kumar, a youngster said that he overcame the stage fear during the two-days training and is ready to speak on any topic in front of huge audience.

He felt that anyone who attends this kind of training would become a good public speaker, regardless of his or her educational background. K Naresh, a student leader from Suryapet, felt a marked improvement in him and felt the training has brought new light into his life.

Sudharshan Reddy, a biotechnology scientist, said that training has helped him in overcoming the stage fear and increased confidence levels.
