19-year-old filmmaker arrested on theft charges in Hyderabad

A 19-year-old short filmmaker along with his two friends were arrested on Monday over theft charges.

The accused, identified as Rahul Dev who made money by making short films had ran into debts. He along with his two friends planned to steal some valuables to clear the debts.

The trio were caught on a tip off when they tried to sell off the stolen goods and police seized eqipment worth Rs 2.3 lakh. According to the police, the trio had already committed thefts in two houses in Kushaiguda and Jawahar nagar police station limits.
