Municipal Administration and Urban Development Minister K Taraka Rama Rao on Monday distributed land allotment certificates to the farmers of Uppal Bhagath and promised the farmers that the Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA) would pay for the registration of the plots of the farmers with an expenditure of Rs 35 crore.

​Hyderabad: Municipal Administration and Urban Development Minister K Taraka Rama Raoon Monday distributed land allotment certificates to the farmers of Uppal Bhagath and promised the farmers that the Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA) would pay for the registration of the plots of the farmers with an expenditure of Rs 35 crore.

The HMDA earlier distributed developed plots to the awardees in lieu of the lands acquired for Musi River Conservation and River Front Development.

KTR said this project was started 12 years back as a pilot project and now the HMDA officials have developed the Uppal Bhagath.

He said the vasthu problems in some of the plots which have been pointed out by the allotterswill be solved by the HMDA Commissionersoon.

Minister said that along the Outer Ring Road (ORR) Satilite Township and Transit Oriented Growth Centres should be developed. He said that Musi River should be developed and Rs 300 crore has been sanctioned for the developments such as walking track, cycling track and other. He said if people agree a mini Shilparamam will be developed at Uppal.

HMDA Commissioner T Chiranjeevulu said the 413 acres of Uppal Bhagath plots have been developed after 12 years and everyone’s acre of land in lieu of monetary compensation. He said that Uppal Bhagath is a model colony. He also said that the 3.5 km of Musi river layout will be developed.
