Officials not on time for Prajavani

​Hyderabad: Prajavani a weekly programme held in Hyderabad District Collectorate left people in confusion as the officials did not turn up in time.

The complainants who had come with issues like not getting old age pensions, widow pensions etc had to return disappointed.

B Vijaya Lakshmi from Himayatnagar said, “I am not getting my old age pension from January. I went to meet the Mandal Revenue Office many times but no one is responding from the department. There is no one to take my complaint at the age of 70, I am being made to run around from pillar to post”.

E Rekha Bai from Nampally said, “From past few months I am not receiving my widow pension I came to bring this issue to the officials notice but there is no one to listen”.

Hyderabad District Collectorate officials said the Prajavani began at 11am. While senior officials like superintendent were available and other officials came between 11.30 am to 12pm as they were in some other meeting.

Prajavani a weekly programme held on every Monday, which is conducted from 10.30 am to 1pm. People wait for Prajavani as their problems are heard by the officials directly and get a solution to their problems. People spent their time, money to reach Hyderabad Collectorate.

As the concerned officials were not present few people were sent back home and others were waiting for officials.
