Agrawal is GST Commissioner
Bankey Behari Agrawal has assumed charge as Chief Commissioner of GST and Customs, Hyderabad Zone, Hyderabad (covering the entire State of Telangana). In addition, he is also in-charge as Chief Commissioner of GST and Customs, Visakhapatnam Zone (covering the State of Andhra Pradesh).
Hyderabad: Bankey Behari Agrawal has assumed charge as Chief Commissioner of GST and Customs, Hyderabad Zone, Hyderabad (covering the entire State of Telangana). In addition, he is also in-charge as Chief Commissioner of GST and Customs, Visakhapatnam Zone (covering the State of Andhra Pradesh).
He is from the 1985 batch of the Indian Revenue Service, and worked at several places. He took active part in drafting of GST laws pertaining to Appeals and Revision and was also instrumental in designing of the 4-Tier GST Training plan which led to training of almost 60,000 (Central/State) officers during 2016.
