KCR govt diluting drug scandal: Revanth
The Telangana TDP working president A Revanth Reddy alleged that the government had asked the Director of Excise and Prohibition Department Akun Sabharwal to go on leave only to dilute the probe into the drug scandal.Â
​Hyderabad: The Telangana TDP working president A Revanth Reddy alleged that the government had asked the Director of Excise and Prohibition Department Akun Sabharwal to go on leave only to dilute the probe into the drug scandal.
Talking to media here on Friday, Revanth Reddy said that Akun Sabharwal had been acting very tough against the drug menace and had even arrested some key persons involved in the racket. He had sent notices to some of the top actors and actresses which sent shock waves in the film industry.
Unable to digest this, the bigwigs of the film industry swung into action and have influenced the government to dilute the case and that is why the government had asked the police officer to go on leave, the TDP leader alleged.
