​Hyderabad: Tension prevailed at Osmania University on Saturday evening as the non-boarders protested in front of the office of Vice-Chancellor against the university authorities disconnecting water and power supply to the hostels.
Heavy police force was deployed to prevent any untoward incident; but late in the evening, the situation got diffused as the University authorities gave time to the non- boarders to vacate the hostels by July 23. It may be mentioned here that the non-boarders were earlier given four days’ time to move out of the campus and the deadline ended on Saturday.
