It is learnt that a BJP leader from Telugu states might get selected as the vice-presidential candidate and Union Minister Venkaiah Naidu along with Maharashtra Governor C Vidyasagar Rao are in contention for the BJP for the vice-president post.

As both the leaders have been associated with the BJP for a long time and also have a vast experience in politics, they are likely to be the top picks from the party. However, sources close to Venkaiah Naidu have revealed that the Minister is not interested in vice-president post.
