Expedite Mid Manair works: Harish to babus
Irrigation Minister T Harish Rao on Wednesday instructed the officials concerned to speed up the land acquisition works for the ongoing Mid Manair Project taken up on river Godavari in the erstwhile Karimnagar district.
​Hyderabad: Irrigation Minister T Harish Rao on Wednesday instructed the officials concerned to speed up the land acquisition works for the ongoing Mid Manair Project taken up on river Godavari in the erstwhile Karimnagar district.
During a video conference with the District Collector and Irrigation officials, the Minister reviewed the status of works. He asked the officials to take up canal works on war footing besides acquiring the required 200 acres of land for the project purpose.
The project with 10 TMC capacity would provide irrigation facility to 80,000 acres of land.Harish also enquired the status on rehabilitation of displaced at the project site. The officials were told to provide adequate compensation to the people who gave away their lands for the construction of the project.
