SCCL receives National Award for Excellence in Cost Management 2016
Singareni Collieries Company Limited (SCCL) received the National Award for Excellence in Cost Management 2016. SCCL Chairman and Managing Director N Sridhar received the award at a function held in New Delhi on Wednesday.Â
​New Delhi: Singareni Collieries Company Limited (SCCL) received the National Award for Excellence in Cost Management 2016. SCCL Chairman and Managing Director N Sridhar received the award at a function held in New Delhi on Wednesday.
The Union Minister for Power, Coal, New and Renewable Energy and Mines Piyush Goyal presented the award. The award was conferred on SCCL in a division of Mega Public Sector industries by the Institute of Cost Accountants of India for the year 2016.
It is to note that SCCL bagged the same award from same institution for the year 2015 too. The award was presented to SCCL along with other awardees at the 14th National Level awards function organised by the Institution of Cost Accountants of India.
Excellence in cost management awards are given to those companies who prove their excellence in following the rules and regulations in cost accounts as laid by the institution of Cost accountants of India time to time with transparency.
SCCL is one government company which has been strictly following the Cost Management practices and maintains transparency. Sridhar expressed his happiness for being awarded in the best Cost management practices implemented in Company category. He complemented the concerned for putting good efforts in this field.
