Speaking to the media, he accused that the Telangana government was trying to smother the democratic dissent and freedom of speech by attempting to relocate Dharna Chowk.

The former Congress MP said a dharna would be held at Jantar Mantar here on August 22 in which leaders of democratic organisations including Prof Kodandaram and civil society members would take part.
