An Ola cab driver who allegedly abducted a doctor in Delhi and held him captive for 14 days has now been arrested.

Demanding Rs. 5 crore in ransom from the cab company and a private hospital, the cab driver along with three others even made a video of the doctor sending his family clips as proof.

The victim, Dr Shrikant Goud who is a native of Telangana, had booked an Ola cab on July 6 evening from a private hospital in east Delhi to return home in South Delhi. But the Cab driver took him to Dadri where the other kidnappers abducted him. The doctor was being held at an under-construction building in Meerut.

Teams of Delhi Police and Uttar Pradesh's Special Task Force had been tracking the kidnappers movements and surrounded the locality where the doctor was being held.

After a gunfight between the police and the gang of kidnappers, the doctor was rescued.
