Drug racket case: SIT officials assured support from TS Govt
The Special Investigation Team (SIT) of the Prohibition and Excise Department, which is probing the drug rackets case has got an assurance of support from Telangana government.

Telangana government has assured support to the Special Investigation Team (SIT) of the Prohibition and Excise Department, which is probing the drug rackets case.
With SIT officials getting several threats from various unknown sources, the state government has decided to put focus on the matter. Excise Director Akun Sabharwal who has been investigating the case has been receiving threat calls to drop the case.
He along with Excise Commissioner Chandrawadan have been given assurance from the government and asked them not to fear any force. Both the officials are giving constant updates to the Chief Secretary S.P. Singh about the drugs racket investigation report.
Reports suggest that the state government might write a letter to the Centre regarding the threats.
