New Delhi: Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao called on President of India Ram Nath Kovind at Rashtrapati Bhavan in New Delhi on Thursday.

During his meeting with Ram Nath Kovind, the Chief Minister apprises him of development activities in the State

The Chief Minister was accompanied by Minister for Energy G Jagadish Reddy, TRS MPs Jithender Reddy, K Kavitha, Vinod Kumar, Konda Vishveshwar Reddy and Ch Malla Reddy, Advisor to the Telangana government G Vivek and Telangana government’s representative in New Delhi S Venugopala Chary.

KCR congratulated Ram Nath Kovind on assuming charge as the 14th President of India while Kovind, in turn, thanked him and his party members for extending support to his candidature.

The Chief Minister briefed the President about the various development activities and welfare schemes taken up by the State government. He told President that the State’s GDP was 21.5 per cent while the GDP of other new States like Chhattisgarh was just 10.2 per cent.

The Chief Minister told the President that the State was growing at a rapid pace when compared to many other States. He also appraised the President of Mission Kakatiya which revived thousands of small lakes and tanks in the State.
