TPCC chief N Uttam Kumar Reddy slams govt for unleashing terror on the people at Nerella village

Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) President N Uttam Kumar Reddy, while addressing a press conference here on Thursday, said Meira Kumar would address a rally of Dalits, Backward Classes, Scheduled Tribes and other deprived sections. The march is intended to expose the atrocities unleashed by the State government against poor and deprived sections of the society.

He slammed the TRS government for unleashing terror on the people at Nerella village when they were peacefully protesting the death of a local tribal in a road accident. The tribal died under the wheels of a truck belonging to the sand mafia.

Uttam Kumar Reddy said instead of addressing the issues raised by the Opposition parties, Minister of Municipal Administration K T Rama Rao sought to level baseless allegations against the Congress leaders. He asked as to why KTR was silent on the illegal detention and torture of Dalits, BCs and others by the Sircilla police.

He appealed to the SCs, BCs, STs and other community members to participate in large numbers in 'chalo Sircilla' agitation and make it a grand success.The TPCC president also accused the TRS government of implicating the Congress leaders in false cases. He said false murder case was foisted on Warangal DCC chief Rajender Reddy. He said that the TRS was resorting to immoral politics and all TRS leaders became arrogant and corrupt.
