Stages a protest demanding 2BHK houses for the poor; comes down heavy on the Chief Minister for not fulfilling promises

Hyderabad: Alleging that the various mafias in the State were running parallel governments, Communist Party of India (CPI) claimed that Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao was ‘fida’ with mafia but not with the poor people.

Addressing a ‘Maha Dharna’ staged at Hyderabad Collectorate here on Thursday demanding that the State government construct double-bedroom houses to the poor at government lands located around Hyderabad, CPI senior leader Dr K Narayana alleged that various mafias were ruling the State but not Chandrashekar Rao. He said that land, mine, drug and sand mafias were ruling the State parallelly.

Either Chandrashekar Rao’s family members or corporate companies and land mafias were running the State, he said and demanded that the State government construct double-bedroom houses in the lands encroached by corporate companies, land mafias and Chandrashekar Rao’s family members.

He said the government lands, Nizam lands and Bhoodan lands were in the hands of land mafias and brokers but the government was not taking back the lands. “Chandrashekar Rao stated during the movement that the lands would come back to our hands if Telangana was created.

But he failed to take back the lands, which are in the hands of land grabbers, though three-year time is over after coming to power,” he pointed out.

CPI State secretary Chada Venkat Reddy thrown a challenge at Chandrashekar Rao to come along with him as he would show the lands for the construction of double-bedroom houses to the poor. Chandrashekar Rao became number one in deceiving people and giving wide publicity to his words.

He alleged that land mafias and corporate companies encroached lands at Shamshabad, Miyapur, Hayath Nagar, Saidabad and other places and demanded that the State government initiate action against the land encroachers and take back the land as per the law.

He alleged that the land grabbers were encroaching tanks, small tanks shikam lands and Chandrashekar Rao was not able to realise that.
