Insurance companies should reach vulnerable sections: Dattatreya
Union Labour Minister Bandaru Dattatreya emphasized that the insurance companies should reach the vulnerable people.
Hyderabad: Union Labour Minister Bandaru Dattatreya emphasized that the insurance companies should reach the vulnerable people.
He was speaking after inaugurating the International Conference on Global Insurance conducted by Department of Commerce at CDE, Osmania University on Saturday. He mentioned about 4 schemes including Atal Bihari Awaaz Yojana, Suraksha Vimayojana and Pradana Mantri Awaaz Yojana. He said that the insurance penetration was very low in India and the companies should improve and do more of work.
NIC Chairman and Managing Director Sanath Kumar said that the insurance companies should overcome hindrances lie digitization, GST and demonetization.
Dignitaries from foreign countries like Nepal, Australia, Iraq and Iran were also present and among the 250 papers that were presented, 20 were from foreign countries.
Osmania University Vice Chancellor Prof S. Ramachandram, Convener Chennappa and Special Officer, OU Centenary celebrations Prof Venkateshwarulu were also present.
