OU managements asks Asst. Professors to call off strike
The Osmania University administration has appealed to the Assistant Professors (contract) to call off their strike and resume duties immediately.
Hyderabad: The Osmania University administration has appealed to the Assistant Professors (contract) to call off their strike and resume duties immediately.
In a statement released today, the University urged the ACs to get back to academics and help the Departments and the Colleges. Vice-Chancellor said that a Committee has been constituted for looking into their demands.
In view of the upcoming class work and hectic preparations underway for the NAAC visit, he said that the contribution of ACs would augment the efforts of the University to get better rating by the national body. He appealed to them to call off their dharna immediately, resume to their duties and get ready for NAAC peer team visit.
The NAAC team is scheduled to visit the University during 17-19 August, 2017. In view of the NAAC team visit, University appealed to all the stakeholders (teaching and non-teaching staff, students) to actively involve in the preparation for the visit and not to resort to protests, dharnas, etc.,
Further, the students have been directed not to stick posters or writings on the walls and keep the environment clean and green.
